Multi-week Sessions
PGC's in-depth eight-week classes for intermediates are a great way to take your skills to the next level. Try one out, love it, and then repeat it as many times as you want.
Hot Glass II
Price: $550
Now that you’re hooked on hot glass, how do you keep the momentum going? By enrolling in Hot II, you will acquire more proficiency in working the glass, refining and varying the cup and bowl shape in the first few weeks before moving on to more complex shapes. You will also explore basic methods of color application and learn how to troubleshoot common problems. Hot I, 24 hours experience, or permission of the instructor required.
This is also a great class to take if you are interested in becoming certified as a teaching assistant at PGC. For more information on how to become a TA , contact Registrar Sam Laffey at 412.365.2145 x208.

NEW! Hot Shop Open Studio Friday 12 – 2 pm
A new offer for students currently enrolled in a Hot Glass class at PGC! Fridays are now open studio day for anyone enrolled in a Hot Glass class. After week three of class, you are eligible to rent in the Hot Shop and practice what you’ve learned for a discounted rate of only $20/hr per person (price includes all tool rental). In addition a technician will be on duty to answer your questions or help you get over a hurdle. Time can be booked on a week-to-week basis but must be scheduled ahead of time. Stop by our Studio location at 5472 Penn Avenue Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 10am to 7pm or Friday, Saturday or Sunday 10am to 4pm.
*Unless otherwise noted, you must be at least 13 years old to take a workshop or class.
