Hot Shop
Rob Scavuzzo has taught at several universities as well as The Corning Museum of Glass, and exhibits work in many galleries nationwide. Students will explore the process of glass making and steps to improve overall skills while at the same time engaging in projects that result in satisfying objects to take home at the end of the week. The class will cover a number of techniques but will focus on cane and murrine work and will incorporate both unconventional uses of the material with traditional Italian techniques. Students should come with a variety of ideas and a willingness to explore new ways of working with glass.
