Teen Classes & Workshops
12-Week After School, Home School & Cyber School Programs
PGC offers in depth 12-week classes for young artists age 13 to 18 that fit their busy schedule. Our daytime classes for teens are a great way for home school or cyber school students to come together to enhance team building skills, communication and have fun with peers.
Jewelry Design for Teens
Classes begin on February 5 and run through May 1, 2008.
No classes March 18-23 for Spring Break.
Are you interested in jewelry and design? This 12-week program is exciting because it will allow the students to develop a personal line of jewelry. After a discussion of studio set-up, safety and demonstrations, we will introduce students to the use of heat and gravity to shape molten glass at a torch. Demonstrations will alternate with working time. In the second quarter, students will be introduced to design concepts and jewelry fittings. In the third quarter, students will be introduced to Borosilicate glass, a higher temperature glass, which they can use to make hollow forms and small sculptures. After that, students will be free to focus on the area which is most appealing to them.

In-Person Registration
Stop by our Studio location at 5472 Penn Avenue Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 10am to 7pm or Friday, Saturday or Sunday 10am to 4pm.
*Unless otherwise noted, you must be at least 13 years old to take a workshop or class.
