Workshop for Teens
Maybe you don’t have time for 12 full weeks of classes, why not give glass a try in a weekend workshop?
Three Days of Flameworking (3 days)
Price: $240
Young artists age 13 - 18 will learn how to make beautiful glass beads at a torch. They will work on a mandrel using Moretti (soft glass) to create colorful glass pieces. After a discussion of studio set-up and safety, demonstrations will show students how to use heat and gravity to shape molten glass. Demonstrations will alternate with working time. Dot application, marvering, stringers, annealing and bead cleaning will be covered. Teens interested focusing on color and fine details will enjoy the flameworking. Bring a brown-bag lunch.

Stop by our Studio location at 5472 Penn Avenue Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 10am to 7pm or Friday, Saturday or Sunday 10am to 4pm.
*Unless otherwise noted, you must be at least 13 years old to take a workshop or class.
