Applications open for Handmade Arcade Holiday Market
Apply now to be a vendor at our 2023 Holiday Market on December 1 & 2, 2023, at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Downtown Pittsburgh. The Holiday Market is Handmade Arcade’s longest-running and largest event, hosting up to 250 makers from Western Pennsylvania and beyond, and welcoming over 10,000 highly-engaged shoppers each year. Applications close on Monday, July 17, at 11:59 PM (ET). There is a $20 application fee.

Contemporary Craft Call for Regional Artists
Contemporary Craft has announced their open call for the 2024 Regional Juried Exhibition, "Hereafter." Artists are asked to respond to the themes of grief, loss, joy, healing, and mourning and may apply with existing and new artwork. Open to craft artists based within 250 miles of Pittsburgh. Apply by June 20; there is an application fee of $30.

Museum of Arts and Design Burke pRize
The Burke Prize, offered by the MAD | Museum of Arts and Design, is a biannual contemporary art prize for a new generation of artists working in a world of expanded media with a foundation in glass, fiber, clay, metal, or wood. Selected by a diverse and distinguished jury of curators, artists, and scholars through an open-call application process, the Burke Prize winner receives an unrestricted award of $50,000. One Burke Prize artist will also be selected for the biannual Burke Residency at The Studio of The Corning Museum of Glass. The Burke Residency artist will receive a one-month to five-week residency. Applications are due April 28, 2023.

Apply for the 2023 Three Rivers Arts Festival
The Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, a production of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, is a 10-day celebration of the arts in downtown Pittsburgh unlike any other in the nation. This world-class, multi-disciplinary festival is free to attend and open to the public, attracting nearly a half-million visitors annually. They are now accepting applications for the Artist Market, Juried Visual Art Exhibition, Performing Arts, Special Projects and Collaborations, and Emerging Artist Scholarship Program.

Pittsburgh International Airport Call for Artists
The Allegheny County Airport Authority (ACAA) accepts applications on an ongoing basis from individual artists or artist collaboratives for Rotating Art Installations at the Pittsburgh International Airport. Respondents are encouraged to submit work samples of 2Dimensional, 3Dimensional, Video and Installation work for display in various locations around the airport. There is a $1,500 honorarium for selected projects.
This initiative is part of the PIT Art in the Airport program, which aims to enhance the airport experience for visitors and staff, by presenting dynamic visual art, performing art, and public art produced by local, regional, national, and international artists.
