An Opportunity for Non-glass Artists
Deadline: First of the Month
We want to take your ideas to the furnace. Pittsburgh Glass Center (PGC) is looking for non-glass artists with designs that they would like to see realized in glass. Once a month, PGC will invite one local artist into the studio to discuss their design ideas, learn about the glass making process and watch the design come to life.
The Idea Furnace is a free, experimental design session to connect nonglass artists with glass artists and encourage exploration in other art forms. The design sessions will be held on the second Friday of the month from 2 to 5pm.
To apply, email the following to Jason Forck at Jason@pittsburghglasscenter.org:
- Three jpeg images of your artwork (glass art not required)
- Brief explanation/sketch of what you would like to make
For more information, EMAIL or call us at 412-365-2145 ext. 203.
Funding for Idea Furnace is provided in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.
