Instructor: Morgan Madison
This class will cover techniques Morgan uses to achieve the crisp linear quality and distinctive character of his glass work. Through group exercises and one-on-one attention we will explore aspects of the process from developing ideas in the sketchbook and executing them in glass to loading work and firing it in the kiln. Several different projects will challenge students to experiment while thinking creatively about concept and its relationship to technique. Finishing work in the cold shop and considerations on presenting work for display will round out the content. The aim of this class is to give students the tools to pursue their own unique visions efficiently, confidently and to have fun while doing so.
