INSTRUCTOR: Edward T. Schmid There are tried and true methods to the madness of glassblowing that have worked for centuries. You will focus on honing your glassblowing skills, from gathering to making perfect punties and everything in between. Learn the basic vocabulary of forms with color applications, handles and bits and elements of design, and have some serious fun doing it!
All 5-day classes start with an orientation at 9am on Monday. Classes run from 9am to 5pm Monday through Thursday. PGC studios are open until 10pm Monday through Thursday for students to practice. Classes end Friday at 3pm. A studio-wide clean-up follows. Studios are open Saturday from 10am to 12pm for coldworking and clean-up only. Wednesday evenings are set aside for instructor presentations at 6pm.
