ADAM HOLTZINGER + NATE COTTERMAN
This class is intended for the intermediate to advanced student looking to refine their understanding of cup making and general glassblowing. We will work to improve hand skills, as well as develop a deeper dialogue with the material, by way of the traditional Venetian goblet. With focus on teamwork, concepts of assembly and timing, students will leave the class with a better understanding of the material and how to assemble simple, as well as complex objects. We will start with the foundation of joining two bubbles together to make simple footed vessels. Moving quickly forward, we will stack three or more bubbles and use the garage to make complex wine glasses and traditional stemware. We will cover lots of ground quickly, so be ready to learn! Sketchbooks, an open mind and killer vibes are a must to take this class!
