Instructors: Csilla Szilágyi and Gergely Mindák
Follow us and see the whole process of making glass and concrete stamps from the first drawing to the last print. This one week class will include information and techniques from three different fields: graphic design, glass etching and concrete making. We will plan and design our stamps through graphic design; carve and coldform glass into stamps through glass etching; and pour and manipulate concrete to finish the glass stamps, making them useful and a work of art in their own right. Using your crafted stamps from this class, you will be able to repeat your mark anytime in any color on paper or textile.
Instructors Csilla Szilágyi, a glass artist and Gergely Mindák a visual artist from Hungary will teach you how to design your own logotype using glass with the base know-how of sand blasting and engraving. They will show you to finish your art piece by creating the concrete stamp-handle through mold making and fine concrete mixing. At last you can play and stamp your own mark everywhere with your fancy concrete-glass engraved seal!
