Nuts & Bolts / Form & Color

Intermediate 1-week Intensive Class
Through the exploration of a variety of forms and color applications, you will gain confidence while refining skills and learning to work more efficiently. Each day a basic form such as the tumbler, cylinder, bowl, and bottle will be introduced, building on skills from one shape to the next. Color applications will be incorporated daily into the forms, starting with overlays, lip wraps, basic cane work, and progressing to hot incalmo and fused tubing. Each class will begin with a lecture appropriate to the day's objectives, before moving into the hot shop for demonstrations, followed by individual blow time. As you work, instruction will be personalized to build on you individual skill set, and during this one-on-one time we will help find simple solutions to common struggles.
