This 12-week, intermediate-level class will build on the fundamentals taught in the beginner class and elaborate on more difficult blown shapes as well as teach new color application methods. If you have already taken the intermediate course, start working with hot glass in ways that go beyond creating vessels. You will also explore a variety of techniques to achieve different shapes and surface textures. Grades 9-12.
All students participating in SiO2 after school classes will have the opportunity to showcase work made during class in an end of session exhibition, and have that work professionally photographed. These photos will be provided to the students to use in their portfolio at no additional cost.
Classes do not meet on March 12.
