Jaclyn M. Harris

Jaclyn M. Harris is a glass and ceramic artist working and living in Pittsburgh, PA. She began pursuing glass at the Pittsburgh Glass Center in 2008. In 2011, Jaclyn moved to Baltimore, Maryland to attend the Maryland Institute College of Art where she achieved her BFA in ceramics and was a glass studio apprentice for 2 years. After returning to Pittsburgh in 2015, she became a tech apprentice at PGC. Shortly after, she joined the non-profit organization - Union Project, where she currently supports ceramic artists and helps to maintain the studio as the ceramic studio coordinator. She is currently a resident artist in the Distillery Program at the Brew House Association in Pittsburgh’s Southside.

Jaclyn continues to work between two non-profits to blend her craft background of glass and ceramic techniques to develop kiln worked forms through atmospheric firings and using casting methods.

Her work will be on display at PGC during the month of March. She will also demonstrate during the free Hot Jam on Friday, March 2.
