Margaret Spacapan first got to play with glass on the end of a blowpipe in 2011. As a child, she had kept her hands busy making “things” which she thought were masterpieces– from popsicle sticks, grass, and Elmer’s glue. When she discovered she could manipulate molten glass with a handful of wet newspaper, that was it! Margaret moved to Pittsburgh in 2013 to begin work as a Studio Tech Apprentice as she developed her work as an artist. She now continues to work at Pittsburgh Glass Center both in the studio, as well as full-time as Outreach Coordinator.
