The first retail collaboration between Pittsburgh Glass Center’s Penn/Fairmount line and Pittsburgh custom bowtie and apparel brand Knotzland has debuted in our retail shop.
The German/Dutch artist Stefan Hoffmann, known for his vertical screenprinting, began a two-month residency at Pittsburgh Glass Center this month. Hoffmann was invited to create a site-specific permanent installation in PGC’s expanded facility. He will be working on the project until late May when the installation will be unveiled.
Sarah Cohen, a Pittsburgh-based glass artist and PGC instructor, had the amazing opportunity to bring mosaic to Pittsburgh International Airport through their Art in the Airport program. Airport employees and travelers worked together to complete the artwork while learning about mosaic techniques and historic glass production in the region.
