Claudia found the medium of glass while pursuing a BFA in studio art at Bowling Green State University. Loving it, and immediately diving in to the world of glass, she explored the potential of it as a career. She worked for a few years as an instructor and private studio assistant through school while experimenting in her own art practice with the fluidity of glass and its relation to body and form. Additionally, while in school she grew an interest in the shop machines, equipment, and tools, and grew an appreciation for the physicality and problem solving aspects of working as a technician. After graduating in 2024, she moved to Pittsburgh to continue instructing before beginning the tech apprentice program.
