Classes & Workshops

Whether you're an artist working in another medium, a collector, a college student, or just someone fascinated by glass, we've got something for you! Depending on your interests and schedule, you may choose from a two-hour introductory workshop, 2-day weekend or eight-week class. Our classes are taught by both local and international professional artists.

We encourage you to sample a workshop or class in each studio in order to find out which you like best. You never know what will spark the creative fire within!

Beginner

So, are you ready to start making glass? Our introductory workshops and classes are a great way to get a taste of the many different processes and techniques. Experienced artists lead the workshops, which feature small class sizes, with all materials provided. Don’t be intimidated — just pick a workshop in one of our four studios, roll up your sleeves and get started.

Intermediate

Are you hooked yet? In our intermediate classes, you’ll see demonstrations of the skills you will be learning and practicing that session, followed by hands-on glassworking for the remainder of the class. In each session, you’ll have the chance to perfect your skills and work one-on-one with your instructor. Classes are small so that you will receive individualized attention in the studio of your choice.

Advanced

Now that you have learned the basics, our advanced classes encourage you to focus on techniques that interest you as a developing glass artist while still receiving direction and support for refining basic skills and methodology. You will learn about a broad range of more complicated techniques in any of our studios.

High-School

Forget sitting in a classroom. Our high school classes take place in one of the top glass studios in the U.S. with a furnace full of molten glass at 2,200 degrees. This is a rare opportunity to create glass art at the furnace or torch, blowing and sculpting on the very first day! See images of student artwork on Flickr.
