Make-It-Now events feature family focused hands-on glass activities for all ages. It is an opportunity to try glass making "on the spot" in 20 minutes or less. No experience required.

Just a reminder that the temperature of hot glass is 2,000 degrees. That's much too hot to put your masterpiece in your purse or pocket immediately after a Make-It-Now. We will slowly cool your artwork over night and it will be ready for pick-up the following Tuesday. We can also mail it to you for an additional fee.

Make-It-Now Paperweight/Sun Catcher

Celebrate back-to-school season with a handsome paperweight for your desk or a fused sun catcher to hang in the window.

Make-It-Now Pendants

Twist and turn at the torch to make your own pendant with a Halloween-theme. This Make-It-Now event is in conjunction with RADical Days in Pittsburgh. In addition, free glass blowing demonstrations will be on going throughout the day.

Make-It-Now Pumpkin

Perfect for Halloween and Thanksgiving! Make your own glass pumpkin. This is our most popular Make-It-Now workshop.

RADical Day: October 1

PGC will feature free heat-defying acts of art in our studios throughout the day. Plus, visitors can make their own pendant at the torch for $25. RADical Day, an annual event sponsored by the Allegheny Regional Asset District (RAD), is a day of free admissions and performances at a variety of regional attractions that are funded by RAD.
