Putting the Pieces Together - with Zach Layhew
Description
Additive sculpture: A constructive approach to creating three-dimensional art, where the artist starts with a base or blank form and gradually adds materials to shape the final piece
Subtractive Sculpture: An artistic technique where material is removed from a larger block, such as stone or wood, to reveal a desired form or design. This process involves careful planning and precision, as any excess removal cannot be undone
In this two-day intensive we'll focus on working through personal projects. We'll dive into a smattering of techniques revolving around solid and blown sculpting. Along with form and process being covered, we will discuss and demo the use of color and textures.
