Mark Making: Paints and Enamels
Description
Level up your flat glass practice by exploring painting techniques that bring pattern, imagery, and mark-making to life on sheet glass.
In this hands-on class, you will experiment with a range of approaches, from cold applications using Pebeo Vitrail paints to kiln-fired enamels. You will learn how to mix and apply kiln-fired enamels using a variety of binders, while exploring techniques such as line drawing, sgraffito, and shading with different enamels. Through guided demonstrations and experimentation, you'll build a toolkit of techniques to incorporate into your own work.
The emphasis of this class is on exploration, play, and discovering the possibilities of painting on glass.
Open to all skill levels, this class offers something for every flat glass artist. Those with an established practice can create painted elements to save for future projects, while beginners can make finished pieces such as hangable suncatchers or decorative wall art.
