Let your creativity take root as you build a floral mosaic from colorful pieces of glass. In this introductory four-week class, you will explore the art of mosaic-making while transforming colorful sheet glass into a custom piece of wall art inspired by flowers, plants, and the natural world.
Step by step, you'll learn the fundamentals of mosaic design, including how to plan a composition, select colors, and cut glass to create the details of your design. You'll arrange and adhere glass pieces to a wooden substrate, then learn how to grout your mosaic for a polished, complete work. As you work, you'll experiment with pattern, texture, and color to bring your vision to life.
Whether you're drawn to bold, vibrant blooms or the subtle shapes and patterns found in nature, this course offers plenty of room to explore your creativity and develop your own style. No prior mosaic experience is necessary. You'll leave with a unique, handmade glass mosaic ready to hang and brighten your space.
