Thank you for your interest in scheduling a private lesson at Pittsburgh Glass Center. Our policies and procedures have recently changed with the onset of COVID-19. The safety of our staff and visitors is our priority.
Because we are committed to the health and safety of our staff and visitors, we’ve made many changes based on recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control, PA Department of Health and the Allegheny County Health Department including limiting the number of participants in our private lessons to 2 individuals.
What We Are Doing to Keep You Safe
- Masks are required.
- Capacity is limited in every room and studio.
- Social distancing of 6 feet between you and others is requested.
- Frequent hand washing/sanitizing is suggested.
- Only cashless credit card transactions will be accepted.

Private lessons are scheduled on various days and times:
Flameworking, Kilncasting and Coldworking
Wednesday - Thursday 2-4pm and 5:30-7:30pm
Saturday and Sunday 11am-1pm and 2-4pm
Tuesday 11:30am-1:30pm and 4-6pm
Payment and Cancellation Policy
Full payment is required at the time of booking. You can cancel your reservation for a full refund, up to 24 hours before the date and time of the event. Cancellation requests made within 24 hours of the class date/time will incur a $25 cancellation fee.
If you have been experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone diagnosed with or exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home. We will offer you a full refund if you let us know at least 24 hours in advance and look forward to welcoming you at a later date.
Item Pick Up
Glass items made during your lesson cannot be taken home on the day of the activity. Items will be ready for pickup at Pittsburgh Glass Center within five days of the activity date. Items can be shipped for an additional charge if required. Please inquire if you need to arrange to have your items shipped.
