Drue Miller is a glass artist and jewelry designer. She can be found in the kiln and cold shops, teaching classes in fusing, stained glass, and coldworking, and also at the front desk, assisting students, staff and visitors. Drue is fascinated by the interplay between light and color and loves exploring the dramatic possibilities glass offers. She is heavily influenced by mid-century designs, from deeply saturated genie bottles and modernist church windows to bold, playful textiles by Marimekko and Vera. Her jewelry line “Iris Fire Glass” is named after the Greek goddess of the rainbow and incorporates vibrant, color-shifting dichroic glass.
